Coloring agents : organic and inorganic pigments
Colored rubber contains coloring agents.
Colorants can be divided into two main categories: organic and inorganic pigments.
Organic pigment features good color rendering but poor weather resistance.
Inorganic pigment features are resistant to discolouration, but are difficult to produce good colour rendition.
The choice of pigment used depends on the purpose for which it is used.
Black rubber with reinforcing filler (carbon black)
Black rubber, on the other hand, contains reinforcing fillers (carbon black) rather than colorants. This means that black rubber can be used to make products with higher strength than colored rubber.
